The President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) is a prestigious award created by the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation to thank and honor the United States’ most exceptional volunteers, Americans who, by their demonstrated commitment and example, inspire others to engage in volunteer service. Each qualifying volunteer receives a letter signed by the president that recognizes him/her for achieving a certain standard of civic contribution measured by their hours of service over a 12-month period.
Cedarlane Academy PTO believes that the spirit of volunteerism is a reward in and of itself, but also know it feels really darn GOOD to be recognized! That's why we are so excited to be an Official Certifying Organization for the President's Volunteer Service Award!
This national program is run by the AmeriCorps program and the Points of Light Foundation. Please visit the PVSA website for more information and history of the award.
Cedarlane PTO's volunteer hours year is from 04/01-03/31. Applications for the 2024-2025 award year are due by SAT 04/11.
